From co-founders Ahmed Ali and Badr to CEO Mohamed Saad, each member is dedicated to delivering impactful, life-saving solutions that transform communities and create a brighter future.
Ahmed Ali
Ahmed’s passion for impactful engineering began early, growing up in a family of doctors who inspired his commitment to solving healthcare challenges in underserved regions. With a BSc in Engineering, a master’s in Electrical Engineering from Scotland, and an MBA from Strathclyde University, Ahmed combines technical expertise with strategic insight to guide KBM Engineering into new markets and tackle complex challenges.
During his career, Ahmed gained hands-on experience in Siemens’ prestigious graduate program, working on high-profile projects and honing his ability to bridge advanced technology with real-world needs. He has played a key role in KBM’s expansion into East Africa, conducting on-the-ground research to develop solutions tailored to the region’s unique challenges.

Mohamed Saad
With a degree in Business Administration specialized in International Business and a background in mechanical engineering, Mohamed brings over 12 years of experience in sales and business operations and development, particularly within the healthcare and engineering sectors. Having fostered partnerships and created impactful solutions throughout their career, he now leads sales and business development efforts at KBM Engineering, focusing on innovative, sustainable solutions for healthcare providers, NGOs, and governmental institutions.
Passionate about improving healthcare access, particularly in underserved regions, Mohamed is driven by the tangible impact KBM Engineering’s solutions have on hospitals and communities. From establishing on-site oxygen generation plants in Sudan to overcoming complex international collaborations, Mohamed thrives on challenges that require creativity and adaptability. Looking ahead, he envisions KBM Engineering as a global leader in healthcare solutions, expanding into new markets and setting new standards for medical oxygen systems. Outside of work, Mohamed enjoys mentoring young professionals, hiking, photography, and experimenting with coffee brewing methods, which has become a cherished ritual to start each day energized and focused.
Badr Hassan
With a degree in Biomedical Engineering and a Master’s in Business Administration, Badr brings over 18 years of experience in engineering, project management, and strategic leadership. As the Founder and General Manager of KBM Engineering, he is responsible for the company’s overall operations and strategic direction, driving innovation and ensuring the alignment of their solutions with the needs of clients in the healthcare sector.
Passionate about creating impactful, life-saving solutions, Badr founded KBM Engineering with the goal of addressing healthcare challenges, particularly in Africa. The direct impact of their work—providing hospitals with uninterrupted access to critical medical oxygen—continues to motivate and inspire. Looking ahead, Badr envisions KBM Engineering leading the charge in sustainable healthcare solutions, with a global reach and an emphasis on innovation. Outside of work, he is passionate about community development, sustainability, and gardening, where they apply their personal commitment to environmental responsibility. A lover of puzzle-solving games, he enjoys tackling business challenges with fresh perspectives and a creative mindset.
